Day 371 (1 Year !!!)

Hope everyone is doing fine.
It is really shocking how one virus can affect so many things and even changed the way we live.
The biggest take away for me is to live life to fullness because you won't know when will be the last...

Ok back to progress. I have taken some photos back in June where it hit a year since my surgery and here they are.

It definitely changed the landscape of my hair and also my overall look especially from the front.
Implanted hair feels less disrupting now and become more natural compared to before.
It may sound cheesy but I do feel more confident in front of people...this is by far the best decision I ever made in my life...for real.

Not trying to promote anything but now might be even a better time to get transplant as we are spending most of the time at home which create a perfect time to let the hair grow and surprise others with new look after this pandemic is finally over. Just a thought that crossed my mind while I am writing this.

I just did another PRP not long ago and I will share more recent photos soon so do come back.
Stay safe and take good care of people around you :)

  3. Hi, good to hear that you are happy with your new hair grow :) By the way, someone told me that the first few days after the FUE hair transplant procedure, one will experience the swelling on the face due to the fluid injection to the scalp during the procedure. Did you experience the swelling on your face during the first few days after the procedure?

    1. Hi, I was warned about possible swelling after procedure but luckily I didn't experience anything major. My face was perfectly ok, in fact I would say other people won't notice a thing from the face alone. No worry on that. Thanks!

  4. Hi, are you still using the the minoxidil+finesteride hair gel? Any side effect of using the gel? How is the gel compared to to the spray type?

    1. Hi thanks for visiting. It's not really a gel, it's more like a foam once you pump it out. Been using it since the procedure and no side effect noticed so far :) all good

  5. Does the foam make you hair sticky or easy to manage /style with your hair comb? Can you blow dry your hair after applying the foam? What is the strength for the minoxidil+finesteride content in the foam? Is the foam has any brand name? How much it cost?

    1. Hi, I always apply it before I go to bed. Yes the foam will make hair sticky a bit but definitely style-able for me. I like the combo because I don't have to take Finasteride and apply minoxidil spray separately. I pay RM 350 for the combo spray, supplied by clinic, don't think there's any brand on it.

Clinic Visit @ KL/PJ (incl. pricing & photo)

As mentioned on my previous post, I had visited 4 clinics in KL/PJ that offer hair transplant (FUE). Let's go through one by one, shall we? 1. Beverly (PJ) Consultation time: Around 30 mins (charged RM60)   Consultation content: Brief explanation on hair loss, estimation on grafts needed. Good: Clinic provides other services as well: cosmetic surgery, dental & etc.  Not so good: No so clear on the cost of total package including medicine, PRP & etc. Surgical team is not from local which requires advance booking.  2. Premier (KL) Consultation time: Around 45 mins (FOC) Consultation content: Detailed explanation on hair loss, estimation on grafts needed. Good: Was consulted by the surgical doctor himself who was able to explain the whole procedure in detail. Clear cost break down on the whole package. Not so good: Premium price. 3. Inder (PJ) Consultation time: Around 30 mins (FOC) Consultation content: Hair scalp analysis, brief explanation on hair lo

Day 324 (10+ Months)

So much has happened over the past few months. Hope everyone is safe and coping well with the 'New Norm'. We will get through this together! It's almost 11 months now since my hair transplant procedure back in Jun last year. Was planning to have another PRP session last month but got stuck at home instead. Anyway let's see some photos update.  Hair on the front is growing really well over time, especially the middle front area where most of the healthy hair follicles were planted. It's definitely noticeable now on how long the hair had grown. Transplanted hair seems to be a little bit thicker than original hair around and can be styled just like normal hair. Will need more work on the crown area to balance out the overall hair density. It's a slow process but I am glad it is making progress. Everything's been good so far. I only put on shampoo once in every two to three days ever since announcement of restriction order. Everyone st
