Day 172 (5.5 months)

Time flies and end of the year is always packed with non stop activities, events and gatherings. I finally get some time to put up update here :) It's been almost 6 months since my transplant procedure and everything is turning out great so far. Density at the transplanted area increased drastically over the past month. Growth at crown area has been relatively slow compared to transplanted area but it seems promising.  The good news is I managed to direct the front hair as I like but they are still growing upward instead of forward direction. Hope that will change over time. Though I am satisfied with the overall result so far, one thing I would have done differently would be lowering the hairline a little bit more to get a fuller view. Anyway I will visiting clinic for a follow-up session in two more weeks. Probably will do another update around that time. Stay tuned and hope you guys enjoy the last month of 2019! Cheers~

Day 118 after Procedure (4 months!)

It's been almost 4 months now! The biggest difference I experienced compared to 4 months ago is the need to style hair before going out every morning. I finally understand how troublesome it can be...but I very much enjoy the trouble :) Since it's impossible to direct the implanted hair downward, I just style all the hair upward for outing. Hope the next batch of hair will be softer and shape-able like the initial hair.  Actually the most significant change I noticed is the crown area. Haven't seen this much of hair in a while...man they really can grow! I think it's safe to assume at this point that PRP really helps! One thing I learnt from this whole process is 'better late than never'.  Really glad I did it and all I have to do now is just wait for the next miracle to happen.  Thanks for stopping by and see you in my next post! Cheers~

Day 102 (3m 1w) after Procedure

Just had my 3rd PRP treatment yesterday and it felt good. Doctor mentioned implanted hairs will eventually fall out after 2 months plus and we will only see fuller hair after 6 to 9 months. Hair looks messy because I tried to style it my way :) Doctor also mentioned the implanted hair might be poking upward at first but will gradually grow in a more natural direction later. Guess we will have to observe on that over time. Will keep this blog active, so do come back for update! Cheers~

Day 89 (3 months!) after Procedure

It's close to 3 months now since my transplant procedure back in Jun. Staring at it everyday won't make you realized how much the hair had grown. Photo on above was taken Today while the photo on below was taken 2 months after the procedure. Gosh my hair really grew a lot ever since the end of shedding stage on last month. I believe some of the credits should go to PRP treatment. It's getting a little bit messy after the transplanted hair grew long. Upside of this is it helps to create a more natural look and I am totally OK with it. It feels good to be hopeful again and I am sure you will agree with me ;) Do come back as I will definitely post an update after my 3rd PRP treatment. Cheers~

Day 83 (2m 3w) after Procedure

It's approaching 3 months after my transplant procedure and everything's looking good so far. Noticed slight improvement at crown area while hair at transplanted area continue to grow. Quite satisfied with the overall look. Hope I can achieve fuller hair after all 4 PRP treatments. Do check in again for update! Cheers~

Day 75 (2.5m) after Procedure

Can't believe it's only been two and a half month since my transplant procedure. Not much different from last week but I did trimmed the hair on front line a bit.  Front and sides view. If you look closer, you will find quite a number of baby hairs. I decided to skip the donor area view since it will be covered up as long as you keep the hair long. Stay tuned for more update and you are more than welcome to leave comment or message me. Cheers~

Day 68 (2m 1w) after Procedure (2nd PRP)

Just completed my second PRP session on last weekend. Not gonna lie it was slightly painful especially on the back of scalp during the 5 minutes injection time, despite the application of anesthetic cream. Some of the implanted hairs are getting really long particularly those on the front hair line while some are still babies. I was really surprised to see how well the hair had grown in 1 month since the first PRP session (see photo on below). Photo taken on day 30 (1 month) after procedure. The look on front and sides now. Donor area. Though it's impossible to measure how much PRP treatment affects the hair growth, I can say for sure it helps, from my previous experience with other similar hair treatment which costed more but was less effective. Let me know if you have any inquiry and do check in for more updates. Til then, cheers~

Day 61 (2 months) after Procedure!

It's already been 2 months since my transplant procedure! The only complaint I can think of so far is the progress of hair grow is actually slower than I expected...but that's probably on me cause everyone's body condition is different :(    As of Today (2 months after procedure) 1 month after procedure Comparing both photos, you will see the density at transplanted area was reduced drastically due to the major shedding stage which I just went through two weeks ago. However if you zoom in Today's photo you will notice quite a number of baby hairs around. Apart from transplanted area, hair growth at crown area seems promising and with good density as well. Thanks to the hair gel from clinic. Front and sides view. Although my original hairs are soft and thin, the transplanted hairs tend to grow upward, standing. Gotta figure out a hairstyle that suits once they grow longer. Donor area. It's a bit visible now because I trimmed the whole scalp sh

Day 53 (1m 3w) after Procedure

It's been almost two months since my transplant procedure. Well, I can say for sure now I am way passed the shedding stage. However there's a minor side effect which I noticed lately...pimple! They come and go...usually stay on for 2 to 3 days. From what I read online, it's not a big deal but I will check with the clinic side and get back to you guys if there's any update.       The overall density looks even now but with thinner hair at crown area and thicker one at implanted area.   Front and sides view. I did trimmed my hairs a little all over the scalp, which is why the donor area is slightly visible now. Can't wait for my second PRP session in 2 weeks time! Do come back for update! Cheers~

Day 47 (1.5m) after Procedure (No more shedding!)

It's roughly 1.5 month after my transplant procedure and I am happy to say that shedding has finally slowed down since 2 days ago. I only see 1 to 2 fallen hairs during shampoo now. This is how it looks like now. If you compared it to 2 weeks ago (photo on below), you will notice a significant drop in density but those which survived the shedding stage definitely grew long and healthy. In fact, not a single person noticed I did something to my hair unless I told them so, which proves how natural it actually looks like to outsiders. Photo taken on 12 Jul (1 month after procedure) Front and sides view. Donor area. No more redness or itchiness. Now that shedding has reduced, I am expecting better hair density in my next post. Stay tuned for update and ask me if you are curious about anything. Cheers~
