Day 118 after Procedure (4 months!)

It's been almost 4 months now!
The biggest difference I experienced compared to 4 months ago is the need to style hair before going out every morning. I finally understand how troublesome it can be...but I very much enjoy the trouble :)

Since it's impossible to direct the implanted hair downward, I just style all the hair upward for outing. Hope the next batch of hair will be softer and shape-able like the initial hair.

Actually the most significant change I noticed is the crown area. Haven't seen this much of hair in a while...man they really can grow! I think it's safe to assume at this point that PRP really helps!

One thing I learnt from this whole process is 'better late than never'.  Really glad I did it and all I have to do now is just wait for the next miracle to happen.

Thanks for stopping by and see you in my next post! Cheers~

    1. Hi, I started to notice since my uni time and had started treatment with traditional herbs application. I think it did slow down the whole thinning process but not as effective as PRP treatment which I just did this year. Thanks for checking in :)

    2. Did you go to Yun Nam hair care for the traditional herbs treatment you mentioned? You said "better late than never" to get the hair transplant done. If you don't mind to tell what is your age now? The reason I asked is because I want to know whether a person with age in late 50 can still do the FUE? Will the result be the same compared to guy doing the FUE at thier age of 30s or 40s?

    3. Hi, I went to 101 hair care previously. I am 32 this year. I am not sure on the result for different group of age but as long as there's enough healthy hair follicles to harvest from, I think it will work. I do recommend to go for consultation at the clinic first. Thanks for stopping by :)

  2. Hi Tom. Thanks for sharing your progress. Mind sharing whether you notice any depleted hair density at the donor area so far? I'm considering to do FUE but I have concern that my donor area will not be as dense as before. Thanks!

    1. Hi, sure there will be slight reduce in density at donor area but it won't be noticable if you keep your hair at certain length. Hope this helps ;)

Day 371 (1 Year !!!)

Hope everyone is doing fine. It is really shocking how one virus can affect so many things and even changed the way we live. The biggest take away for me is to live life to fullness because you won't know when will be the last... Ok back to progress. I have taken some photos back in June where it hit a year since my surgery and here they are. It definitely changed the landscape of my hair and also my overall look especially from the front. Implanted hair feels less disrupting now and become more natural compared to before. It may sound cheesy but I do feel more confident in front of people...this is by far the best decision I ever made in my life...for real. Not trying to promote anything but now might be even a better time to get transplant as we are spending most of the time at home which create a perfect time to let the hair grow and surprise others with new look after this pandemic is finally over. Just a thought that crossed my mind while I am writing this. I just did another

Clinic Visit @ KL/PJ (incl. pricing & photo)

As mentioned on my previous post, I had visited 4 clinics in KL/PJ that offer hair transplant (FUE). Let's go through one by one, shall we? 1. Beverly (PJ) Consultation time: Around 30 mins (charged RM60)   Consultation content: Brief explanation on hair loss, estimation on grafts needed. Good: Clinic provides other services as well: cosmetic surgery, dental & etc.  Not so good: No so clear on the cost of total package including medicine, PRP & etc. Surgical team is not from local which requires advance booking.  2. Premier (KL) Consultation time: Around 45 mins (FOC) Consultation content: Detailed explanation on hair loss, estimation on grafts needed. Good: Was consulted by the surgical doctor himself who was able to explain the whole procedure in detail. Clear cost break down on the whole package. Not so good: Premium price. 3. Inder (PJ) Consultation time: Around 30 mins (FOC) Consultation content: Hair scalp analysis, brief explanation on hair lo

Day 324 (10+ Months)

So much has happened over the past few months. Hope everyone is safe and coping well with the 'New Norm'. We will get through this together! It's almost 11 months now since my hair transplant procedure back in Jun last year. Was planning to have another PRP session last month but got stuck at home instead. Anyway let's see some photos update.  Hair on the front is growing really well over time, especially the middle front area where most of the healthy hair follicles were planted. It's definitely noticeable now on how long the hair had grown. Transplanted hair seems to be a little bit thicker than original hair around and can be styled just like normal hair. Will need more work on the crown area to balance out the overall hair density. It's a slow process but I am glad it is making progress. Everything's been good so far. I only put on shampoo once in every two to three days ever since announcement of restriction order. Everyone st
