Day 68 (2m 1w) after Procedure (2nd PRP)

Just completed my second PRP session on last weekend.
Not gonna lie it was slightly painful especially on the back of scalp during the 5 minutes injection time, despite the application of anesthetic cream.

Some of the implanted hairs are getting really long particularly those on the front hair line while some are still babies. I was really surprised to see how well the hair had grown in 1 month since the first PRP session (see photo on below).

Photo taken on day 30 (1 month) after procedure.

The look on front and sides now.

Donor area.

Though it's impossible to measure how much PRP treatment affects the hair growth, I can say for sure it helps, from my previous experience with other similar hair treatment which costed more but was less effective.

Let me know if you have any inquiry and do check in for more updates. Til then, cheers~

  1. Hi, nice progress, I am considering getting PRP, but so far, when I google, the result isn't that promising. How's your PRP sessions? Did the doctor mention how long for PRP to take effect?

    1. Hi, doctor did mentioned it takes around 4 months in overall to see significant effect. Like I said the one month progress is pretty impressive to me compared to my previous experience with other kind of treatment. Plus it's your own blood that will be utilized so I guess the result kind of vary by person as well. Hope this helps ;)

Day 371 (1 Year !!!)

Hope everyone is doing fine. It is really shocking how one virus can affect so many things and even changed the way we live. The biggest take away for me is to live life to fullness because you won't know when will be the last... Ok back to progress. I have taken some photos back in June where it hit a year since my surgery and here they are. It definitely changed the landscape of my hair and also my overall look especially from the front. Implanted hair feels less disrupting now and become more natural compared to before. It may sound cheesy but I do feel more confident in front of people...this is by far the best decision I ever made in my life...for real. Not trying to promote anything but now might be even a better time to get transplant as we are spending most of the time at home which create a perfect time to let the hair grow and surprise others with new look after this pandemic is finally over. Just a thought that crossed my mind while I am writing this. I just did another ...

Clinic Visit @ KL/PJ (incl. pricing & photo)

As mentioned on my previous post, I had visited 4 clinics in KL/PJ that offer hair transplant (FUE). Let's go through one by one, shall we? 1. Beverly (PJ) Consultation time: Around 30 mins (charged RM60)   Consultation content: Brief explanation on hair loss, estimation on grafts needed. Good: Clinic provides other services as well: cosmetic surgery, dental & etc.  Not so good: No so clear on the cost of total package including medicine, PRP & etc. Surgical team is not from local which requires advance booking.  2. Premier (KL) Consultation time: Around 45 mins (FOC) Consultation content: Detailed explanation on hair loss, estimation on grafts needed. Good: Was consulted by the surgical doctor himself who was able to explain the whole procedure in detail. Clear cost break down on the whole package. Not so good: Premium price. 3. Inder (PJ) Consultation time: Around 30 mins (FOC) Consultation content: Hair scalp analysis, bri...

Day 102 (3m 1w) after Procedure

Just had my 3rd PRP treatment yesterday and it felt good. Doctor mentioned implanted hairs will eventually fall out after 2 months plus and we will only see fuller hair after 6 to 9 months. Hair looks messy because I tried to style it my way :) Doctor also mentioned the implanted hair might be poking upward at first but will gradually grow in a more natural direction later. Guess we will have to observe on that over time. Will keep this blog active, so do come back for update! Cheers~
