Day 6 after Procedure

To remove scabs, I had decided to apply more pressure and rub gently with fingertip in circle motion on the implanted area during hair wash. The result is quite satisfying.

Around 60% of scabs were removed. It looks so much cleaner now. According to doctor most of the scabs should be gone by Day 7 and I think I am quite on track.

As for the back of scalp, the donor area is mostly healed and covered. I am amazed by the fast growing hair at the back.

Someone asked whether I will do a second time transplant on the crown area (highlighted in red on above). During my previous consultation session with doctor, we found out there are still active hair scalps with acceptable density at the crown area. Therefore, doctor had advised to proceed with PRP treament + medication (Finasteride, Minoxidil) and observe the result for the mean time. So I will not do a second transplant, at least for now.

Thanks for tuning in and let me know if you are curious on anything. Cheers~

Day 371 (1 Year !!!)

Hope everyone is doing fine. It is really shocking how one virus can affect so many things and even changed the way we live. The biggest take away for me is to live life to fullness because you won't know when will be the last... Ok back to progress. I have taken some photos back in June where it hit a year since my surgery and here they are. It definitely changed the landscape of my hair and also my overall look especially from the front. Implanted hair feels less disrupting now and become more natural compared to before. It may sound cheesy but I do feel more confident in front of people...this is by far the best decision I ever made in my life...for real. Not trying to promote anything but now might be even a better time to get transplant as we are spending most of the time at home which create a perfect time to let the hair grow and surprise others with new look after this pandemic is finally over. Just a thought that crossed my mind while I am writing this. I just did another ...

Day 102 (3m 1w) after Procedure

Just had my 3rd PRP treatment yesterday and it felt good. Doctor mentioned implanted hairs will eventually fall out after 2 months plus and we will only see fuller hair after 6 to 9 months. Hair looks messy because I tried to style it my way :) Doctor also mentioned the implanted hair might be poking upward at first but will gradually grow in a more natural direction later. Guess we will have to observe on that over time. Will keep this blog active, so do come back for update! Cheers~

Day 324 (10+ Months)

So much has happened over the past few months. Hope everyone is safe and coping well with the 'New Norm'. We will get through this together! It's almost 11 months now since my hair transplant procedure back in Jun last year. Was planning to have another PRP session last month but got stuck at home instead. Anyway let's see some photos update.  Hair on the front is growing really well over time, especially the middle front area where most of the healthy hair follicles were planted. It's definitely noticeable now on how long the hair had grown. Transplanted hair seems to be a little bit thicker than original hair around and can be styled just like normal hair. Will need more work on the crown area to balance out the overall hair density. It's a slow process but I am glad it is making progress. Everything's been good so far. I only put on shampoo once in every two to three days ever since announcement of restriction order. Everyone st...
